Are these safe for planes?
Yes, go ahead and toss The Shears 2.0 into your carry-on for your next flight. Our round-tip scissors are below the restricted measurements and are TSA approved for carry-on.
Special note: Any sharp objects in checked bags should be sheathed or securely wrapped to prevent injury to baggage handlers and inspectors, so keep these stored in your carrying case.
What’s the difference between a nail clipper and a nail file?
A nail clipper is used to trim and cut your nails to your desired length.
A nail file can be used to refine the length, and shape, while smoothing out any rough or jagged edges.
How do you clip your fingernails and toenails properly?
Wash your hands and feet, and use clean clippers to trim your toenails. The best method is to cut toenails straight across, leaving them long enough so that the corners lie loosely against the skin at the sides. Avoid trimming your toenails too short, don’t round the edges to avoid ingrown nails, and also don’t try to cut the toenails into a pointy v-shape.
Wash your hands, and use clean clippers to trim your nails. Cut nails using your nail clipper or nail scissors to a desired length, most people choose to leave at least a sliver of “white” at the top of your nails.
When should I use nail scissors over clippers?
Our scissors are multi-use: Nail clippers can be used to cut length quickly, while nail scissors can be used to precisely trim nails or cuticles. Ours have rounded tips that also allow you to trim your nose hairs more swiftly.
