A retinoid serum is one of the most proven, dermatologist-recommended treatments for improving your skin’s appearance over time—especially for anti-aging, skin texture, pore size, and skin tone.

When using retinoid products, the skin cells will turn over more quickly, and dead skin begins to shed, exposing new skin cells. Since that new skin is so fresh, it can sometimes be prone to “purging” or breakouts as the skin adjusts. If purging occurs, you can slow usage to 1-3 times per week and build back up to nightly once purging has slowed down.

As you begin use:

• Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum is dermatologist tested for all types of skin. If you have any concerns, we recommend testing a small section of your skin prior to full use. As always, consult your doctor before using it if you have any concerns.

• We recommend using sunscreen every day to protect your money maker.
• Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum is gentle enough to be used with other products, even those with active ingredients. However:
  • If you use another treatment, like vitamin C, we recommend you use it in your morning (AM routine).
  • You should avoid using heavy exfoliators on the same nights you use the Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum.

Apply 1-2 pumps (or enough to cover the skin) in a thin even layer across the entire freshly cleaned face and neck. Spread in an upward motion and avoid the eye area.

Pro Tip: Have a little extra? You can rub any excess formulation into your hands! They get so much sun exposure, which speeds up aging, and retinoid products can help slow down those effects.

The Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum should be used in your nighttime (PM) routine. Follow these steps for optimal results:

1. Cleanse—cleanse you face thoroughly with a product like Skin Ultra™ Face Wash
2. Treat—time to use your serums, apply Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum to your face and neck
3. Hydrate—finish by applying a good face moisturizer like our Skin Ultra™ Moisturizer

Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum is gentle enough to be used daily; it is best to test a patch of skin prior to initial use. Starting with 1-3 times per week and gradually increasing to daily use.

We recommend not using Skin Ultra™ Retinoid Serum along with strong exfoliators or other acid products. You can use it up to daily if no purging occurs.
