What comes with The Beard Hedger® Plus?
The Beard Hedger® Plus is a streamlined beard-sculpting machine that comes with:
- Two length-setting combs:
- 1 short comb: 1–10 mm (1.5 mm increments)
- 1 long comb: 11–20 mm (1.5 mm increments)
- USB-C charging cable
How do I use The Beard Hedger® Plus?
Before your first use of The Beard Hedger® Plus, allow the trimmer to fully charge. Once your device is fully charged, press the power button to power it on.
Place the flat side of the trimming head directly against your skin and use smooth, controlled strokes to trim your beard comfortably and evenly—no rushing; this isn’t a race.
If you spot any uneven areas, make another pass to clean things up. Once you’re done, run your hand through your beard to check your work and catch any missed spots.
How do I charge The Beard Hedger® Plus?
To charge The Beard Hedger® Plus, you can plug your USB-C charging cable into any USB-C charging port.
The tri-level battery charge status indicator lights flash while charging and light up individually when the trimmer is on to show the charge level in increments of 33%. When all three LEDs are lit, charging is complete. After a 1.5-hour charge of our high-performance Li-ion battery, your trimmer will run for up to 60 minutes.
Once the device is fully charged, press the power button to power it on, and once more to power it off.
What length settings does The Beard Hedger® Plus beard trimmer offer?
You can trim 14 different lengths from 1mm to 20 mm, in 1.5 mm increments (1 mm, 2.5 mm, 4 mm, 5.5 mm, 7 mm, etc) by pressing down and moving the quick-adjust slider up or down.
The Beard Hedger® Plus includes two combs:
- One short comb: 1–10 mm
- One long comb: 11–20 mm
The best way to find the perfect beard length setting for you is to start at the longest comb length setting and begin trimming back your beard growth. Go down in steps, changing combs and settings until you find the right one for your style.
How do I attach/remove the combs?
Before you begin, make sure the trimmer is powered off.
To install the trimming comb, gently press it into the slot clips until you hear it click.
To remove the trimming comb, hold the comb by its sides and gently pull it straight out of the slots.
Pro Tip: The trimming comb(s) can be removed while at any length setting.
Is The Beard Hedger® Plus waterproof and can it be used in the shower?
Yes! The Beard Hedger® Plus is IPX7* rated, which means this device can be used and stored in the shower. However, it’s important that you keep the rubber socket (charging input) cover closed when not charging the device.
*Meets the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Standard 60529 rating of IPX7 to protect against immersion in up to one meter of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
How often should I replace the blade?
We recommend replacing your blade regularly to keep it sharp for maximum performance.
On average, we find that changing your blade every 12–18 months helps maintain peak hygiene and performance. Of course, your replacement cycle will depend on your frequency of use and your specific grooming needs.
How do you clean The Beard Hedger® Plus?
First, make sure the trimmer is powered off and is disconnected from any power source. Pull off the comb and pop off the blade head. Rinse each part under running water to remove any excess hair and carefully shake off excess water. Make sure to air-dry the comb and blade head completely before reassembling. Once dry, reattach the blade head onto the device by clicking it into place.
